Problem 2.3.3 Residential Design Project
Dad's dream house
Problem 3.1.1 Library Renovation
In this project we are given a brownfield, a commercial sized abandoned building in Noblesville, TN, and are asked to renovate it. With given restraints, our task is to make in into a public library. The starting building is 76ft x 124ft and 20ft tall with no interior walls or fixtures. It is important to try to utilize the original building provided to its fullest. The second floor is recommended to be partial and the remainder to be a green roof open to the public. In your site plan you should include parking, a desirable traffic flow, and appropriate grading and storm management.

Problem 3.2.1 Structural Forms
For this project, we were given a selection of structural forms and asked to research one of them. In our research we had to look for information including the history, materials used to build it, and other interesting facts about our chosen form. Taking the information we found, we had to make a brief one page power point on our chosen form. Following our research, we had to find a way to incorporate it into the design of our library. |
Problem 4.1.1 Final Project
The spring of 2015, a referendum was passed for Elkhorn Area High School. This referendum includes alterations in the office, cafeteria, engineering and technology wing and the art wing. My partner and I were in charge of the art wing. We were given a space of 50x100 to completely recreate two new art rooms. After interviewing the client we were able to come up with a couple different ideas for them to look at. We collaborated to come up with a final design and were able to create it on a computer design program.
